Job summary

St Francis Flexible School North West Campus in Tasmania is seeking a Youth Worker to join a multidisciplinary team. You will support engagement, wellbeing and educational participation for young people with diverse and complex needs, building strong relationships with learners and families.

The role requires genuine commitment to working with students experiencing educational and social disadvantage, plus essential WWCC clearance and a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Experience or developing qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Counselling or related field.
• Commitment to working with young people facing educational and social disadvantage.
• Current Tasmanian Working with Children Clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support engagement, wellbeing and educational participation of diverse learners.
• Build strong relationships with young people and families.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support learning and wellbeing.
• Connect young people with community services and external agencies.
