Job summary

MacKillop Family Services in Grafton, NSW, is seeking casual Youth Workers for the Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) program. You will support young people to build life skills, model positive behavior, and encourage participation in decisions affecting their lives.

Role requires a Diploma in Youth Work/Community Services or equivalent, with current First Aid, and eligibility for essential safety checks. We offer meaningful work in a leading community services provider and career growth

Qualifications

• Diploma of Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent qualification.
• Current First Aid with at least 6 months validity.
• Experience in youth services, residential care or supported accommodation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist young people to develop living and life skills.
• Role model and reinforce positive behavior through social learning, social responsibility, and emotional intelligence.
• Promote democracy and support young people to engage in a participatory environment where they can have a say in and influence the decisions that affect their lives.
• Provide support to children and young people living in the accommodation service including undertaking household duties such as cleaning, shopping and meal preparation as required.
• Must have valid and current Driver’s License.
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
