Job summary

MacKillop Family Services in Punchbowl, NSW, AU, is hiring a full-time ITC Youth Worker to support young people in accommodation services. You will assist with living skills, safety, and engagement, and work on trauma-informed care.

The role requires a Diploma in Youth Work or equivalent, a current First Aid certificate, and valid checks. The position offers on-site work, career growth, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Youth Work or equivalent required.
• First Aid Certificate with at least 6 months validity.
• Current Driver's License and Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Check.
• Aboriginal culture awareness is a plus; experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist young people to develop living and life skills and support wellbeing.
• Promote positive behaviour and participation in a democratic environment.
• Provide housing support including household duties and meal preparation.
• Attend team and house meetings to ensure services meet needs.
• Safeguard wellbeing and report concerns immediately.
• Engage in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) and related training.
