Job summary

Young Mindz in Queensland is seeking a casual residential support worker to help young people with complex support needs live safely and participate in daily activities. You’ll build relationships through therapeutic support and contribute to individual support plans.

The role requires male-only applicants due to care requirements and offers ongoing training, flexible shifts, and a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people in a residential home.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviours professionally.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Minimum Cert 4 in Community Services or similar field.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with complex support needs in a residential home.
• Build positive relationships through consistent, therapeutic support.
• Promote life skills, independence, and community participation.
• Respond calmly and safely to challenging situations.
• Complete documentation and contribute to individual support plans.
• Male-only applicants required due to care requirements.

Education

Minimum Cert 4 in Community Services or similar field

Experience supporting young people in a residential home
