Job summary

Jiniaa Youth Services is seeking a Casual Youth Residential Worker to support and empower young people in residential care. The role involves assisting with daily living, building nurturing relationships, and facilitating activities to promote growth.

Applicants should have a Diploma in Community Services, a caring and empathetic approach, strong communication, and flexibility for sleepovers, weekends, and holidays. A valid driver’s license and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Community Services required.
• Demonstrated caring, patient and empathetic attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including sleepovers, weekends and holidays.
• Previous experience working with youth is preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
• Able to pass a background check and clearances.

Responsibilities

• Assist youth with daily living tasks and personal care.
• Provide emotional support and build positive relationships with residents.
• Facilitate recreational and educational activities for growth.
• Support youth in developing life skills and personal goals.

Requirements:
