Job summary

Yaandina Community Services seeks a Youth Support Worker for our Roebourne Youth Centre on a permanent part-time basis. You will deliver trauma-informed support, run life-skills programs, and ensure a welcoming, inclusive environment for local youth.

You will work with families and other service providers to create wraparound support, building resilience and confidence in young people. A hands-on role with real community impact.

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance are required.
• Senior First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is required.
• Mental Health First Aid - Youth qualification is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for engaging with families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Build trust and deliver trauma-informed support to young people facing adversity.
• Create and run low-barrier recreational and life skills programs.
• Supervise the youth centre and respond calmly to incidents; collaborate with local groups and service providers.
