Job summary

Youth Link is a Cairns-based community organisation providing support to homeless and at-risk youth. The role involves crisis assistance, referral services, and coordination with Housing Services to place youths in transitional housing and tenancy arrangements.

The position requires experience with assessment, case management, and outreach, plus strong communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with at-risk or vulnerable youth.
• Ability to assess and support crisis situations.
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis assistance and referral advice to at-risk and homeless youth.
• Support housing services activities to secure and maintain accommodation placements.
• Assist youths to apply for and sustain independent tenancies in community housing or private rentals.
• Develop and implement support plans with clients, families and stakeholders.
