Job summary

Headspace Swan Hill is seeking a Youth Support Worker to engage and support young people aged 12-25 through outreach, individual support and community-based activities. You will build trusting relationships, help identify goals and pathways that enhance wellbeing, education, employment and community participation.

Deliver youth-focused programs and engagement activities that promote connection, resilience and positive outcomes. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Job description

The Position

• Engage and support young people aged 12-25 through outreach, individual support and community-basedactivities.
• Build trusting relationships with young people and assist them to identify goals and pathways that enhancetheir wellbeing, education, employment and community participation.
• Deliver youth-focused programs, events and engagement activities that promote connection, resilience andpositive outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary headspace team and external stakeholders to ensure youngpeople receive coordinated and responsive support.
• Advocate for the needs of young people and facilitate access to appropriate services, resources andopportunities.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and culturally responsive environment that encourages young people toparticipate and thrive.
• Some evening, weekend and after-hours work may be required.
