Job summary

Youth Projects is seeking an In-Work Support Mentor to help young people stay connected to employment and work closely with employers during early placement stages.

You will provide tailored post-placement mentoring, support communication between employer and employee, and address barriers to sustain employment. A key focus is building relationships, maintaining records, and ensuring program requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in engagement with employers to support young people into work.
• Ability to document and track engagement and outcomes to program requirements.
• Strong communication, empathy and problem-solving to address challenges early.

Responsibilities

• Engage with young people and employers to support successful post-placement outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records in line with program requirements.
• Foster trust quickly and provide practical support to sustain employment.

Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth Work, Mental Health, Career Development or related field
