Qualifications

• Applicants must have a recognised youth work or community services qualification (as listed).
• Demonstrated understanding of youth development, safeguarding, risk assessment and wellbeing.
• Ability to assess needs and refer to appropriate services and supports.
• Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs, circumstances, strengths and support requirements of young people.
• Provide practical, emotional and social support to youths in personal or family settings.
• Develop and review individualised support plans with young people and professionals.
• Coordinate referrals to health, housing, education, employment and community services.
• Maintain confidential case notes and documentation.
