Job summary

IMPACT Community Services Limited is seeking a full-time Youth Coach for the Get Set for Work program in Bundaberg. The role supports young people aged 15 to 19 who face barriers to education, training or employment, through mentoring, coaching and practical assistance.

It is a fixed-term contract until 23/06/2027, with a focus on building confidence and employability skills. Key duties include recruiting and engaging participants, developing training plans, preparing for employment, and

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting and supporting young people to achieve education or employment goals.
• Ability to build rapport with young people, employers and community partners.
• Strong coaching, mentoring and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Participant Recruitment, Engagement and Support: Recruit, support and case manage young people, helping them overcome barriers and achieve their training and employment goals.
• Training Participation and Pathway Development: Develop and monitor individual training plans that build skills and support progression into further education, training or employment.
• Employment Readiness and Transition Support: Prepare participants for employment through job search, application, interview and post-placement support.
• Community Engagement and Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders to promote the program and connect participants with support services.
• Administration, Reporting and Compliance: Maintain accurate records, reporting and program documentation while ensuring compliance with contractual and organisational requirements.
• Team Participation: Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to team meetings and professional development activities.
