Job summary

ETC Employment Training Community in Bundaberg is seeking a Career Mentor to provide person-centred support to people with disability, helping them overcome barriers and connect with employment opportunities. You will work with participants, employers and partners to create successful pathways.

You’ll support resumes, applications and interview preparation, identify training and job opportunities, and track progress while ensuring contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services or related field, especially with people with disability.
• Strong interpersonal, assessment and planning abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets.
• Current Police Check and Blue Card or Working With Children clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with participants and develop personalised employment plans.
• Assist with resumes, applications, and interview preparation.
• Identify training, work experience, and job opportunities.
• Market participants to employers and generate job leads.
• Provide post-placement support and track progress.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and ESP policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues and community organisations to strengthen referrals.
