Job summary

The City of Rockingham is seeking a dedicated leader to head the Youth Services team, guiding program delivery and community engagement across a busy Youth Centre. You will provide strategic leadership, supervise staff, and ensure programs meet the needs of local young people.

You’ll oversee a diverse portfolio of initiatives—from workshops to recreation and holiday programs—collaborating with schools and partners to empower youth and build capacity.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience coordinating and guiding a team.
• Experience in managing a community facility or youth space.
• Knowledge of youth work principles, ethics and statutory requirements.
• Strong written, verbal, and analytical communication; strategy and grant management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to a team delivering youth programs and services.
• Oversee diverse youth programs, events, and activities.
• Engage schools and community partners to amplify youth voice.
• Activate and manage the City’s Youth Centre as a hub of activity.
• Support training and career development for staff within the team.
