Job summary

Carnarvon Shire is seeking a Youth Engagement Officer to work with young people, families and community groups to promote wellbeing, participation and development. You will help identify needs, deliver inclusive programs and create safe, positive opportunities for youth growth within the Shire, reporting to the Youth Team Lead.

You will plan and run activities, collaborate with schools and clubs, and facilitate life skills workshops while maintaining records for program evaluation and future

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to uphold a values-based approach in a public sector setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication including reports and letters.
• Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
• Experience delivering youth programs and evaluating outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering youth-focused programs, activities and events.
• Collaborate with schools, clubs and community groups to maximise reach.
• Prepare project documentation, promotional materials and social media content.
• Engage with young people to build positive relationships and support wellbeing.
• Maintain records of activities, attendance and feedback for evaluation.
