Job summary

H&G Hardware & General in Peakhurst, NSW, is looking for a reliable forklift operator to join our yard and warehouse team. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys practical work, moves stock safely and helps keep operations running smoothly.

Experience is valuable, but the right attitude and willingness to learn matter most. You’ll operate a forklift, load and unload deliveries, receive and sort stock, pick and dispatch customer orders, and help maintain stock levels across our yard,

Qualifications

• Full Australian working rights.
• Current forklift licence (LF) or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 kg.
• Building materials or warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and willing to get involved.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating a forklift and safely handling building materials
• Loading and unloading deliveries and vehicles
• Receiving, sorting and allocating incoming stock
• Picking, preparing and dispatching customer orders
• Monitoring stock and reporting shortages or damaged goods
• Working across the yard, warehouse and store as required
• Supporting the team to keep daily operations running efficiently

You may not have experience in every aspect of this role, and that’s okay. We can teach you many of the practical skills. We’re looking for someone who brings the right attitude and takes pride in their work.

• Full Australian working rights, without restrictions
