Job summary

Sunshine Mitre 10 is seeking a reliable Yard Person / Forklift Operator for our Kunda Park Distribution Centre on the Sunshine Coast. You will work in the yard and warehouse, picking and preparing orders, unloading and loading building products, and operating forklifts safely.

No previous timber/building industry experience is required as full training will be provided. This role offers Monday to Friday hours, on-site work, and opportunities for career progression within the Sunshine Mitre 10

Qualifications

• No prior experience in hardware required; full training provided.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift and handle products.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious with a good attitude.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders in the yard and warehouse.
• Load trucks and customer vehicles with building products.
• Unload and store incoming products in designated areas.
• Safe operation of forklifts following company procedures.
• Maintain an organised yard and storage areas.
• Assist with general yard duties and teamwork.
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Yard Person / Forklift Operator to join our team at our Kunda Park Distribution Centre.

This is a hands‑on role working in the yard and warehouse, picking, and preparing orders, unloading and storing building products and loading customer and delivery vehicles.

You don't need to have experience in the building or hardware industry. We will provide training on our products, systems, and processes. We are looking for someone with the right attitude who is willing to learn and work as part of a team.
