Job summary

TasmanKB is seeking a reliable Storeperson / Forklift Operator to join our warehouse and distribution team in Brisbane, with responsibilities including picking and preparing orders, operating forklifts, receiving stock and loading deliveries.

Based at Acacia Ridge initially, the Queensland operation will relocate to Stapylton in 2027; the role offers above‑award wages, a friendly, family‑owned culture and long‑term career opportunities within our expanding timber business across Brisbane, Sydney

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse and forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders manually and with a forklift.
• Move, load and unload timber and other products using forklifts.
• Receive stock and store safely and efficiently.
• Load customer and delivery vehicles.
• Maintain stock rotation and proper storage.
• Assist with general warehouse and yard duties.
• Keep a clean, safe and organized work environment.
• Work with the wider team to supply orders on time.
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.

TasmanKB is a family-owned Australian timber wholesale business, established in 1985, with operations in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. We are a key supplier to major retailers, independent merchants and fabricators throughout the Australian building industry.

Our success is built on quality products, strong customer relationships, teamwork and a deep knowledge of timber. We are continuing to grow our Queensland operation and are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Storeperson / Forklift Operator to join our team.

The position will initially be based at Acacia Ridge, with our Queensland operation relocating to Stapylton in the latter part of 2027.

About the role

Working as part of our warehouse and distribution team, your responsibilities will include:

• Picking and preparing customer orders both manually and using a forklift
• Operating forklifts to move, load and unload timber and other products
• Receiving incoming stock and ensuring it is stored safely and efficiently
• Loading customer and delivery vehicles
• Maintaining stock rotation and ensuring products are stored appropriately
• Assisting with general warehouse and yard duties
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure customer orders are accurately supplied on time
• Following all workplace health and safety requirements

About you
