Job summary

Britton Timbers is seeking a Storeman / Production Labourer to join our Australian operations. This hands-on role covers warehouse and production tasks, from handling timber products to preparing customer orders and maintaining a safe, tidy work environment.

You will work with a team to ensure accurate stock control, receive deliveries, rack timber, and support production processes while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, manufacturing, production, timber, or a similar hands-on industry (preferred).
• Ability to perform physically demanding work with good attention to detail.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
• Current Forklift Licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate machinery such as docking saws, thicknessers and other production equipment.
• Receive and unload supplier deliveries, checking stock against delivery documentation.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders.
• Accurately tally and record stock movements and customer orders.
• Rack and de-rack timber products.
• Apply coatings and oils to timber products.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse and production environment.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Job description

As a Storeman / Production Labourer, you will be involved in all aspects of warehouse and production operations, including handling timber products, preparing customer orders, receiving stock, assisting with production processes, and maintaining a safe and organised workplace.

The successful applicant will become an important part of our operations team, helping ensure products are processed and delivered to our customers to the highest standard.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in completing tasks safely and efficiently, and thrives in a team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate company machinery, including docking saws, thicknessers and other production equipment.

About you

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A current Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential)
