Job summary

Bowens is a AFR Top 150 privately owned company and the largest independent supplier of building materials in Australia with stores across Melbourne and regional Victoria. This role supports customer service at the yard and warehouse, picking and packing orders, stock maintenance and keeping the yard neat for efficient deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack customer orders from picking slips for on-time delivery.
• Serve customers and ensure an outstanding in-store experience.
• Put stock away and maintain a tidy yard and workplace.
• Assist with general yard cleaning and organisation.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

• Pick and pack customer orders from picking slips to ensure that they are prepared accurately and ready for the agreed delivery time
• Serving customers and ensuring they receive an outstanding customer experience
• Putting stock away
• Cleaning of the yard and ensuring it is neat and tidy at all times

We are looking for an individual who possess the below skills:

• Knowledge of Timber and Hardware is advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication skills
• Able to deliver outstanding customer service
• A capability to undertake physical tasks safely
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
• Ability to work independently as well as contribute as a team member
