Job summary

Visy, a leading recycled paper manufacturer, is seeking a Yard Operator to support safe, hands-on operations in Coolaroo. This permanent full-time role features a 4-on 4-off 12-hour rotating roster with day and night shifts and extended time off.

You will load materials, manage yard safety, operate a forklift with grab attachment, and help maintain equipment while keeping a clean, compliant site. Candidates with forklift, loader experience, and recycling industry exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence with grab attachment experience.
• Front End Loader/Skid steer experience highly desirable.
• Prior experience in a recycling, production or manufacturing environment.
• Able to work autonomously and provide guidance to others.
• In depth safety first mindset especially within a recycling environment.
• Ability to work a rotating roster of days and nights (every 7 cycles get 2 weeks off).

Responsibilities

• Loading raw recycled material into conveyors using the front end loader or skid steer and ensuring consistent output with production needs.
• Manage the safety practices of the Yard including traffic management, contractor supervision, storage, maintenance etc.
• Load and unload deliveries of materials from internal and external parties.
• Operating forklift with a grab attachment safely.
• Ensuring equipment is correctly maintained and maintenance is performed regularly.
• Maintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping at all times.
• Regularly review work processes and assist in identifying improvements.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Production manager your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
