Job summary

Lyndons Pty Ltd in Maroochydore is seeking a hands-on Yard Assistant to support daily yard operations and ensure safe, efficient loading, unloading and order preparation. You will work closely with operations and customer service teams, maintaining a clean, organised yard and helping with deliveries, while embracing Lyndons’ Safety First culture and opportunities for growth across Queensland branches.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with deliveries – loading and unloading trucks.
• Keeping the yard clean, safe, and organised.
• Organising and storing materials in the yard safely and neatly.
• Picking and preparing orders for dispatch to customers.
• Collaborating with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Job description

We see your role as one of the most critical roles for our business. You will be responsible for the productivity of the yard on a day-to-day basis and ensuring the operational and hands-on tasks are performed in a successful manner.

This position will be based at our Maroochydore branch.

Responsibilities include:

Operation

• Helping with deliveries – loading and unloading trucks
• Keeping the yard clean, safe, and organised
• Organise and store materials in the yard safely and neatly
• Pick and prepare orders for dispatch to customers
• Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth workflow

Workplace Health and Safety

• Take responsibilities on behalf of the organisation, but must also comply with requirements as workers, including:
• Ensure adherence to WHS policies and procedures
• Maintain relevant knowledge of WHS issues
• Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours
