Job summary

Medlog Australia Pty Ltd at Yamala near Emerald is seeking two casual Yard Hands to support daily operations in a large external yard. You will help keep the yard clean, wash equipment and assist the grain packing team, with a strong emphasis on safety and following site procedures.

The role requires a current driver’s licence, reliability and the ability to work independently or in a team. A forklift licence is highly regarded and pre-employment checks apply.

Job description

MEDLOG is a global logistics and supply chain operator, specialising in container transport, intermodal logistics and warehouse storage and handling. We are seeking two casual Yard Hands to support our operations at Yamala, near Emerald.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will help keep the Yamala yard clean, safe and ready for daily operations. This is a hands-on role covering general yard upkeep, equipment washing and support for the grain packing team.

Key responsibilities

Maintain clean and tidy yard and work areas

Assist with site upkeep, including mowing, irrigation and weed control as directed and trained

Wash trucks and other equipment

Support grain packing and other general yard activities as required

Report hazards, faults and maintenance issues promptly

Follow site traffic management, manual handling and safety procedures

Work with the wider Yamala team to complete daily tasks

About you

Current driver’s licence and right to work in Australia

Reliable, safety-focused approach and willingness to undertake physical outdoor work

Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Good communication skills and attention to detail

Previous yard, warehouse or similar hands-on experience is desirable

A forklift licence is highly regarded
