Job summary

The Drake Group is seeking a Yard Hand at our Wacol site to support receiving and dispatch between stores and production, and to manage trailer movements on site.

You will be energetic, detail‑focused and a good team player, thriving in a busy yard environment and helping other teams meet deadlines with a can‑do attitude. We offer a 4 or 5 day roster and a competitive hourly rate, with a supportive and friendly environment that values safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar yard or warehouse role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming materials and products and distribute them between production teams.
• Yard movements (Forklift).
• Pick, pack, and dispatch tooling and products accurately and efficiently.
• Keep accurate records of inventory transactions as required.

About your role:

As a Yard Hand, you will be responsible for the receiving and dispatch of products between the stores team and production, as well as trailer/componentry movements within the work site. With a keen eye for detail, you will be someone who thrives in a busy environment.

You consider yourself energetic, enthusiastic, and a people person who enjoys working with like-minded team members. With a solid ‘can-do attitude,’ you are comfortable in a bustling hub, aiding other teams to meet their deadlines.

Your key responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming materials and productsand distribute them between the different production teams
• Yard Movements (Forklift)
• Pick, pack, and dispatch tooling and products accurately and efficiently
• Keep accurate records of inventory transactionsas required
