Job summary

Drake Trailers Pty. Ltd. on the Gold Coast invites experienced Boilermakers to join our fabrication teams at the Wacol site. You will fabricate and assemble trailers in line with drawings, perform cutting, welding, and quality checks, and uphold safety in the workshop.

We offer a 4-day work week (Mon–Thu) and competitive hourly rates, with opportunities across Drake’s brands. Bring your precision and eye for detail to our leading heavy-haulage team.

Qualifications

• Boilermaker Trade Qualification (or similar) required.
• Experience in heavy manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble trailers in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carry out cutting, punching, rolling, bending, drilling and welding of steel products.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and promote a culture of safety within the workshop.
• Ensure precision and accuracy in all fabrication processes to meet quality standards.

As a Boilermaker, you will have a passion for precision and an eye for detail. Responsible for the fabrication of heavy haulage trailers and components, you will be able to confidently interpret engineering drawings, accurately measure and cut materials, and have a strong understanding of different welding techniques.

Your key responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble trailers in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications
