Job summary

Ahern Australia has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, motivated Workshop Technician to join the team based at our Dandenong operation. You will diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, with servicing and repairs in the workshop and potential field based work for motivated applicants.

Minimum 1–2 years' experience diagnosing faults is required, along with a mechanical trade qualification and a current drivers licence.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Qualification required.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using schematics/ publications.
• 1–2 years' experience diagnosing mechanical/electrical/hydraulic faults.
• Experience with EWPs, spider lifts, truck-mounted booms and telehandlers desirable.
• Carry out programmed servicing and repairs in the workshop; field work possible.
• Current Drivers Licence; EWP & Forklift licences preferred.
• Strong communication and customer liaison skills.
• Australian work rights required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify faults in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Carry out servicing and repairs in the workshop with potential field work.
• Maintain accurate service records of work carried out.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to ensure satisfaction.
