Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a Technical Assistant to support teaching staff with class preparation, stock control and equipment servicing. Duties include preparing panels, cutting plywood, using power tools, and maintaining workshop gear to ensure smooth delivery of programs.

Candidates should have trade qualifications, WWCC, a valid driver’s license and First Aid. The role is 36 weeks per year with pro rata annual salary and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications relevant to the role and industry experience.
• Valid Working with Children Check prior to commencement.
• Driver's Licence and First Aid certification.
• Demonstrated ability to service, clean and safely operate workshop machinery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare panels for classes; cut plywood and use power tools.
• Maintain, service and run signage equipment for teaching delivery.
• Stock management and supplies ordering; workshop upkeep.
• Perform routine servicing and cleaning of workshop equipment.
