Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a hands-on trades & services professional to join the Russell Vale workshop team. The role focuses on maintaining vehicles, plant and equipment to high safety and operational standards, supporting maintenance activities and liaising between workshop trades and asset management functions.

You will handle labouring tasks, assist in issue resolution, and contribute to team performance while ensuring compliance with WHS and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, logistics, fleet, workshop or asset management environments.
• Hands-on approach to supporting maintenance activities.
• Mechanically minded with interest in vehicle maintenance and equipment reliability.
• Ability to work with workshop teams and operational staff to keep assets performing.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of routine and complex labouring tasks using small plant and hand tools.
• Assist in identifying and resolving routine issues following established procedures.
• Support team performance, lead small work units when required, and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Maintain WHS compliance, manage records, and promote safe work practices.
• Follow environmental and quality requirements, conduct inspections, and document activities as per specifications.
