Job summary

Kinetic is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor – Heavy Vehicle Maintenance at the Shepparton Depot in Victoria. You will oversee daily workshop operations, lead a mechanical team and ensure our fleet meets safety, reliability and compliance standards.

Ideal candidates will hold a current heavy vehicle licence, have supervisory experience, and be adept at maintenance scheduling, parts procurement and keeping accurate maintenance records. A willingness to travel regionally is required.

Qualifications

• Valid heavy vehicle licence required.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of heavy vehicle maintenance, compliance and scheduling.
• Experience with parts procurement and workshop operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; commitment to safety.
• Willingness to travel to regional depots and work rotating rosters.
• TIMS or similar maintenance system experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily workshop operations and allocate work to team members.
• Schedule maintenance, repairs and vehicle inspections.
• Monitor defect notices and ensure repairs within timeframes.
• Coordinate vehicle availability with Operations.
• Coach, support and develop mechanical team members.
• Perform mechanical duties when required.
• Manage parts ordering, maintenance records and work orders.
• Monitor workshop performance, budgets and cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement across workshop operations.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor – Heavy Vehicle Maintenance to join our team at Kinetic’s Shepparton Depot

In this role, you will oversee daily workshop operations, lead and support our mechanical team, and ensure our fleet is maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability and compliance.
