Job summary

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is seeking a highly organised Workshop Coordinator for our Cavan branch in Adelaide. You will coordinate workshop repairs, machine builds and refurbishment activities, working closely with technicians, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are planned, resourced, and delivered on time.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, with a proactive, customer-focused approach to drive efficiency, quality and safety

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Workshop Coordinator or similar role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management
• High attention to detail and strong administrative capability
• Experience in construction, heavy equipment, manufacturing or mining preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate workshop schedules, machine builds, and refurbishment projects
• Manage job progress, WIP, work orders, and invoicing activities
• Coordinate parts procurement and ensure materials are available before work commences
• Liaise with technicians, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth project delivery
• Monitor timelines, identify potential delays, and proactively resolve scheduling issues
• Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance records
• Support quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives across the workshop
