2xm is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Service Technician for its Smithfield, NSW service centre. The role involves servicing and repairing heavy industry equipment, reading drawings, and providing on-site installation and fault-finding support.

You will work a 4-day Mon-Thurs schedule with a Friday finish, enjoy substantial annual leave, and a guaranteed annual bonus linked to KPI achievement. This permanent full-time position offers ongoing training and clear career progression.

Formación

• Mechanical trade qualification required (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent).
• Experience servicing, repairing or overhauling rotating machinery or similar industrial equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in completing electronic service reports.

Responsabilidades

• Disassemble mechanical equipment for inspection, servicing and repair, plus machining rail components and parts.
• Diagnose faults and prepare detailed inspection reports outlining repair requirements and replacement components.
• Reassemble equipment per engineering drawings and procedures.
• Test and commission repaired equipment to meet performance and quality standards.
• Complete service documentation and testing records accurately.
• Utilise a wide range of hand and power tools while applying fitting principles.
• Attend customer sites to install, commission, troubleshoot and repair equipment.
