Job summary

GB Auto in New South Wales is seeking a motivated Workshop Coordinator to lead our workshop team, coordinate jobs and ensure safety, quality and productivity.

You will mentor tradespeople and apprentices, liaise with customers, manage parts, prepare quotes and drive continuous improvement in a hands-on environment. This role offers a Monday–Friday 10-hour roster with a competitive salary and supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Mechanic or Auto Electrician.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Sound computer skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to solve problems, make decisions and work under pressure.
• Current unrestricted driver’s licence.
• A/C Ticket highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule workshop jobs.
• Lead, mentor and support tradespeople and apprentices.
• Liaise with customers and be the main point of contact for workshop work.
• Manage workflow, parts and materials requirements.
• Prepare quotes and ensure jobs are completed efficiently.
• Drive continuous improvement and maintain high workshop standards.
• Oversee daily workshop operations, including opening and closing.
