Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking a Site Assistant & Workshop Labourer for their workshop team. You will support fabrication, installation, and site work across community assets while following plans and ensuring safety and quality.

Role requires practical hands-on ability, teamwork, and a commitment to courteous customer service. Training may be provided for equipment like excavators, with a 4-day, 35-hour week and competitive salary.

Formación

• High School certificate or equivalent in automotive or mechanical workshop experience.
• Commitment to efficient and courteous customer service.
• Ability to work in a team or independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with excavation equipment or willingness to train.
• WorkCover Construction Induction Card.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with fabrication, welding and installation of community assets.
• Prepare materials and assist with plant and equipment.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of vehicles and machinery; undertake manual handling tasks.
• Read plans and drawings to set out and complete work to specification; operate vehicles and plant within your skillset.
