Job summary

TS Global, an Australian-owned leader in conveyor and materials handling solutions, is seeking an experienced Workshop Fitter (Fabrication) to join the Tomago manufacturing team in NSW. You will fabricate, assemble and refurbish conveyor-related products for mining and bulk materials handling sectors, reading drawings and working safely in a busy workshop.

The successful candidate will hold a trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boilermaking or Fabrication, have experience in industrial

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boilermaking, Fabrication or a related trade.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, fabrication or industrial workshop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, assembly and refurbishment of conveyor-related products.
• Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Operating workshop equipment, hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Conducting fit-up, assembly and mechanical installation activities.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
• Identifying and resolving fabrication and assembly issues; supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

About the Role

You'll play an important role in the manufacture, assembly and refurbishment of conveyor and industrial products that support customers across the mining and materials handling sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Fabrication, assembly and refurbishment of conveyor-related products
• Reading and interpreting engineering and fabrication drawings
• Operating workshop equipment, hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Conducting fit-up, assembly and mechanical installation activities
• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
• Identifying and resolving fabrication and assembly issuesSupporting continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop
• Contributing to a safe, organised and productive work environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Boilermaking, Fabrication or a related trade
• Experience working within a manufacturing, fabrication or industrial workshop environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and pride in your workmanship
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team
• Current Driver's Licence

The following will be highly regarded:

• Experience with conveyor systems or materials handling equipment
• Welding and fabrication experience
