Job summary

FMS Field Mining Services Group in Mackay, QLD is seeking an experienced Workshop Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis. You will prepare fabrication quotations by reviewing RFQ requirements, drawings and specs, ensuring bids meet project budgets and timelines.

You will also coordinate site visits to measure scope and assist with workshop project scheduling.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• CAPM or PMP qualifications (desirable).
• Experience with preparing fabrication quotations by analysing RFQ requirements, drawings and associated specifications.

We are currently looking for an experienced Workshop Estimator to join our team. We have a great opportunity available for you to take on a new challenge and work with a great team.

You will be experienced with preparing fabrication quotations by analysing ‘requests for quote requirements’, technical drawings and associated specifications. Ensuring supplier bids & proposals meet project specifications, budget requirements and timeframes.

Your strong understanding of Fabrication estimating will give you the ability to understand the scope of work to bid, manage the bid pricing from all vendors and assist management with the overall scheduling of the workshop projects and pipeline.

This position will be proactive and coordinate site visits for ability to measure up and scope jobs. You will have a strong analytical skill set, attention to detail, along with excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• CAPM or PMP qualifications (desirable)
