Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a hands-on, safety-focused field inspector to support civil construction and maintenance works in the Bega area.

You will interpret plans and specifications, perform inspections and measurements, use site tools, and keep accurate records to ensure work is completed safely and to standard. Aboriginal people and people living with disability are supported during recruitment and at work.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction, road maintenance or similar environment.
• Strong WHS understanding and compliance.
• Good communication skills; current White Card and driver’s licence.

Be out in the field supporting the delivery of civil construction and maintenance works, checking activities against project specifications and quality requirements, and maintaining accurate records. You'll perform inspections and measurements, use a range of tools and equipment, and work closely with team members, contractors and supervisors to ensure work is completed safely and to standard.

About You

You're a hands-on and safety-focused professional with experience in civil construction, road maintenance or a similar environment. You take pride in quality work, can confidently interpret plans and specifications, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. A strong understanding of WHS requirements, good communication skills, and a current White Card and driver's licence will help you succeed in this role.

This role is based in Bega.
