Job summary

Eightcap is seeking a Workplace Technology Lead in Melbourne to own and advance our corporate IT environment. The role blends hands-on work with setting standards for workplace technology, including endpoint management, software administration, and user access provisioning.

You will lead a Europe-based direct report, coordinate across time zones, and manage device fleets, IAM, and software licenses while ensuring secure, efficient IT services across offices.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on workplace technology experience.
• Experience implementing and running endpoint management and software administration.
• Strong IAM knowledge including provisioning/deprovisioning and access reviews across cloud apps.
• Proven ability to manage corporate IT infrastructure (Wi‑Fi, networks, AV).
• Experience coordinating with vendors and managing software licensing.

Responsibilities

• Own Workplace Technology End to End: Run corporate IT service delivery, set the standards, and manage escalations.
• Line-manage a direct report across Europe, with time zone coverage.
• Administer Microsoft Intune and Windows systems; manage asset lifecycle.
• Own provisioning/deprovisioning, access reviews across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Slack.
• Manage vendor relationships and software licensing; coordinate with finance on billing and renewals.
• Maintain Wi‑Fi, corporate networks, AV and meeting room tech with the infrastructure team.

As Workplace Technology Lead, you will be the hands‑on owner of Eightcap's corporate IT environment, responsible for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of endpoint management, software administration, user access provisioning, and IT infrastructure support.

This is a working technical role: you will be in the tooling yourself day to day, while also setting the direction and standards for how workplace technology is delivered across the business.

To drive real impact in this role, you will:

• Own Workplace Technology End to End: Run corporate IT service delivery, set the standards, and work escalated issues through to resolution and vendor coordination yourself.
• Lead and Grow Your Team: Line-manage a direct report based in Europe, coaching them, running one-on-ones and reviews, and coordinating coverage across time zones so every office gets consistent support.
• Manage the Device Fleet: Administer Microsoft Intune and Windows systems, and own the full asset lifecycle from procurement through to decommissioning.
• Control Access and Identity: Own provisioning and deprovisioning, run access reviews, and keep Azure AD, AWS, Google Workspace and Slack access clean and compliant.
• Manage Vendors and Licensing: Own vendor relationships and software licensing, run Jira based request workflows, and coordinate with finance on billing and renewals across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Keep the Infrastructure Running: Manage Wi‑Fi, support corporate networks alongside the infrastructure team, and keep AV and meeting room technology running smoothly.

Essential:

• Deep hands‑on workplace technology experience.
• Comfortable being the most technical person in the room and doing the work yourself, not only directing it.
• Ability to work effectively across time zones with a distributed team and global offices.
• Experience managing corporate IT infrastructure, including Wi‑Fi, networks, and AV equipment.
• Expertise in device management using Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, policy enforcement, and software management.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access reviews across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Slack.
• Hands‑on experience with software asset management, including licensing, approvals, and installation.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot escalated technical issues and manage vendor coordination.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience supporting C‑Level executives and business teams.
• Experience managing third‑party IT vendors, ensuring contracts and service expectations align with business needs.

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Jira-based IT service management and software request workflows.
• Experience automating service workflows or approval chains for access or software provisioning.
• Extra points for VPN administration experience supporting secure corporate connectivity.
