Job summary

Gumbuya World is seeking a Workforce Coordinator to join our HR operations across the rides, wildlife park, and guest experiences in Victoria. You will recruit, onboard and support staff, coordinate workforce planning and payroll-related tasks, and help drive a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a HR or HR administration role, or equivalent demonstrated experience in a similar function
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with HR management systems or databases
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when managing sensitive employee information and records
  • Knowledge of Australian employment law, workplace health and safety, and relevant HR compliance requirements
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive workplace matters
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic business environment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating recruitment activities including job postings, application tracking, and interview scheduling to support timely hiring of quality candidates
  • Maintaining accurate workforce records, databases, and documentation in compliance with organisational policies and relevant legislation
  • Supporting the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation coordination and paperwork management
  • Assisting with workforce planning and reporting, including scheduling support and attendance tracking
  • Providing administrative support to the HR team, including correspondence, record keeping, and general office management
  • Processing payroll-related documentation and liaising with payroll providers as needed
  • Supporting employee relations activities and assisting with the resolution of workplace queries or issues
  • Contributing to HR projects and initiatives that enhance workplace culture and employee engagement
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and organisational HR policies and procedures

This position is suitable for a part time option, with seasonal flexibility to full time, or full time for the suitable applicant. The Workforce Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting our HR operations, workforce planning, and recruitment activities. This position is integral to ensuring our team is effectively managed, engaged, and supported to deliver outstanding service to our guests. You will work closely with HR leadership and operational managers to streamline workforce processes and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
