Workskills Tasmania seeks a Workforce Australia Services Team Leader to guide and develop a small team of Employment Coaches across two Southern Tasmanian sites, delivering quality services and strong participant outcomes.
You will translate program requirements into practical actions, coach capability, and ensure compliance with standards while fostering a positive, accountable culture that supports employment and broader goals.
Workskills is a proud not-for-profit that’s been helping Tasmanians find their way into meaningful work for over 40 years, and we’re still just as passionate about it today. Based across Southern Tasmania, we’re all about community, connection, and creating real opportunities for people to thrive.
What’s our mission? It’s simple (and seriously rewarding). We get to know people, help them build confidence and skills, connect them with jobs or training that make sense for them, and support them to stay there. The impact? Stronger people, stronger families, and stronger communities.
Our teams are friendly, down-to-earth, and big on great customer service. We celebrate wins (big and small), back each other, and are always looking for smarter, better ways to do what we do. Continuous improvement and positive outcomes aren’t just buzzwords here; they’re part of our everyday work.
At Workskills, your work genuinely matters. You’ll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of Tasmanians, and that’s something we’re very proud of.
We are looking for a strong, inspirational and results‑driven leader to join our Workforce Australia Services (WAS) program as a Team Leader.
In this role, you will lead, motivate and develop a small team of Employment Coaches, creating a positive and accountable culture focused on achieving strong operational and participant outcomes. You will provide day‑to‑day leadership across two of our Southern Tasmanian sites, setting clear expectations and supporting your team to deliver consistent, high‑quality services.
Working closely with the Employment Services Manager and Senior Team Leader, you will translate program requirements and performance targets into practical actions that contribute to Workskills’ strategic direction. You will coach your team to build their capability, manage their caseloads effectively and provide participants with the support they need to achieve meaningful and sustainable employment, education and broader life goals.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact by developing a high‑performing team, improving service delivery and creating better employment outcomes for Tasmanians.
