You will manage a portfolio of moderate to complex claims, collaborating with employers, regulators and external partners to ensure timely return-to-work outcomes in line with legislation and governance requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing workers' compensation claims, including moderate to complex matters.
• Strong technical claims and injury management knowledge.
• Understanding of Tasmania's workers' compensation legislation.
• Experience engaging with regulators and working within governance frameworks.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to develop claim strategies, evaluate risk and make well-reasoned decisions.

Responsibilities

• Manage workers' compensation claims from inception through to resolution, including complex coverage considerations
• Develop clear case strategies and evaluations to support timely and effective claim outcomes
• Establish appropriate reserves and review them throughout the claims lifecycle within delegated authority
• Act as a technical referral point for workers' compensation claims
• Partner with legal providers and other external vendors to support effective claim management
• Build strong relationships with employers, brokers, insurers, regulators and other key stakeholders
