The Wood Machinist position focuses on operating industry-standard machines, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring high accuracy.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNCs and edgebanders in cabinetry settings.
• Good understanding of cabinetry materials and melamine finishes.
• General aptitude with machines and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNCs, edgebander, panel saw and other standard workshop machines.
• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and pre-starts on equipment.
• Identify and report machine problems promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace; work with a collaborative team.

Position Description – WOOD MACHINIST

What You’ll Be Doing

Operating/using industry standard machines, for example, CNC, edgebander, panel saw Day to day maintenance of machines, including pre-starts Recognising and identifying problems with machines if/when they occur

Working with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace Collaborating with a friendly, skilled team

What we’re looking for

Proven experience in utilizing machines like CNCs, edgebanders Strong understanding of cabinetry materials, and finishes – have worked with melamine (we do not use solid timber)

General aptitude with machines Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Attention to detail and organised

Ability to follow instructions Professional, reliable, and safety-focused attitude, willingness to contribute to a positive team environment
