Riteway Furniture in Melbourne's Thomastown workshop is seeking a trade-qualified or time-served Cabinet Maker / Joiner who takes pride in finish and seeks a stable, long-term workshop home.

Join our 100% workshop-based team, reading detailed shop drawings, operating panel saws, edgebanders and woodworking machinery, assembling custom cabinetry and joinery, and ensuring flush joints and high-quality edge finishes. This is a permanent full-time role with a predictable 38-hour week.

Qualificações

• 3+ years cabinet making/joinery experience.
• Ability to read detailed plans.
• Safe operation of panel saws, edgebanders and workshop machinery.
• Reliable and long-term team member.

Responsabilidades

• Read and interpret shop drawings and cutting lists.
• Operate workshop machinery safely (panel saws, edgebanders, etc).
• Assemble furniture units, custom cabinetry and joinery from start to finish.
• Inspect own work for flush joins, precise alignments and edge finishes.
• Work autonomously while coordinating with a workshop team.

We are looking for a trade-qualified or time-served Cabinet Maker / Joiner who takes real pride in the finish and wants a stable, long-term workshop home.

What We Offer

Competitive Pay: $36-40/hr + Super, commensurate with experience.

What the Job Involves

Reading and interpreting shop drawings and cutting lists accurately.

Operating workshop machinery (panel saws, edgebanders, and standard woodworking machinery safely).

Assembling furniture units, custom cabinetry and joinery from start to finish.

Inspecting your own work to maintain flush joins, perfect alignments, and high-quality edge finishes.

Working autonomously on dedicated builds while coordinating with a collaborative workshop team.

What We’re Looking For

Trade Background: At least 3-Year Cabinet Making / Joinery experience

Drawing Literacy: Ability to work directly from detailed technical plans with minimal supervision.

Machine Competency: Confident, safe handling of panel saws, edgebanders, and stationary workshop machinery.

Reliability: Punctual, honest, and looking for a steady, long-term team fit.
