Job summary

Sinatra's Pizza & Pasta in East Victoria Park, WA, is seeking an experienced Cook for a full-time role with a salary between $80,000 and $82,000 plus superannuation. The ideal candidate has at least 12 months in a commercial kitchen and is skilled in pasta and pizza preparation, including dough from scratch and wood-fired cooking.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, following recipes, maintaining quality and safety standards, and supporting service during peak times while ensuring consistent

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Minimum 12 months of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
• 12 months’ experience in preparing pastas and pizzas.
• 12 months’ experience cooking with a wood-fired oven/open fire.
• 12 months’ experience preparing pizza dough from scratch.
• 12 months’ experience preparing pastas and sauces from scratch.
• Ability to work with pork, beef and seafood.
• Ability to prepare meals to dietary requirements.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe work practices in a commercial kitchen.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and public holidays in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following standard recipes, preparation methods and kitchen procedures.
• Present dishes attractively while maintaining consistency, taste and portions.
• Assist with food preparation and service activities under supervision.
• Monitor food quality and ensure meals are served at appropriate temperatures.
• Follow daily menus, production schedules and portion requirements.
• Check and record food temperatures to ensure food safety compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations and equipment.
• Support stock rotation, storage and inventory handling.
• Operate kitchen appliances and cooking equipment safely and efficiently.
• Communicate with kitchen staff regarding preparation and operational needs.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Support kitchen operations during busy service periods.
