Job summary

HorizonOne Recruitment Pty is seeking a Wintel Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen Windows-based enterprise environments for government workloads. Start February 2027 for a 12-month initial term with extensions, and roles available in Canberra or Melbourne.

You’ll implement security controls, prototype configurations and lead workshops that shape guidance rather than just executing tasks. You will bring 5+ years in cyber security, scripting/automation capabilities, and a proven track record

Qualifications

• Active NV2 or PV clearance (mandatory), and Australian citizenship.
• At least 5 years of technical cyber security experience.
• Experience focusing on enterprise systems security.
• Experience implementing one or more Essential Eight mitigations.

Responsibilities

• Implement and prototype security controls to uplift government security posture.
• Prototype configurations to inform agency advice and remediation efforts.
• Facilitate and participate in workshops for design and remediation activities.
• Adapt to evolving cyber framework as Essential Eight transitions.
