Job summary

XPT SoftwareAustralia PTY Ltd is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to implement and manage security controls across Australian Government environments, focusing on Windows/Linux infrastructure, cloud integration, and secure configurations.

You will develop SOPs, run remediation workshops, and prototype security configurations. A minimum of five years in cyber security and hands-on Azure or AWS experience is required, with NV2 or TSPV clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of technical cyber security experience.
• Demonstrated experience securing enterprise systems.
• Experience implementing the Essential Eight mitigation strategies.
• Scripting or automation to manage system administration or remediation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Implement security controls to uplift security posture across the Australian Government.

Security clearance: NV2 or TSPV security clearance

Infrastructure Engineers implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services.

Key duties and responsibilities

The Wintel Engineers will perform the following duties and responsibilities:

Implement security controls to uplift security posture across the Australian Government.

Develop SOPs or security and administrative tasks.

Facilitate and participate in workshops for design and remediation activities.

Prototype security configurations for the development of advice

1. At least 5 years technical Cyber Security experience.

2. Demonstrated experience working with security focus on enterprise systems.

3. Experience implementing one or more of the Essential Eight Mitigation Strategies.

4. Demonstrated experience with scripting or application development to automate system administration or vulnerability assessment tasks, or to implement tools to assist with assessing or remediating cyber risks.

1. Demonstrated experience working with cloud systems, such as Azure or AWS.

2. Demonstrated experience evaluating and implementing remediation activities correlating to the detection and mitigation of Active Directory compromises.
