Job summary

Talent seeks an accomplished Windows Platform Engineer to maintain and optimize a Windows-based cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will automate infrastructure delivery with Terraform, leverage CI/CD pipelines, and strengthen observability across production systems.

The role requires advanced Windows engineering, AD/GPO/DNS/PKI experience, and strong scripting in PowerShell, with hybrid work in a Sydney-based setting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications combined with relevant industry certifications.
• Advanced Windows Systems Engineering within complex organisations (AD, GPO, DNS, PKI/certificates and patching).
• Strong AWS cloud infrastructure experience, including Windows workloads on EC2.
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform.
• CI/CD pipeline experience, ideally using GitLab.
• PowerShell scripting and automation capability.
• Experience administering SCCM/MECM across patching, deployment and compliance.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace or AppDynamics.

Job description

A leading provider of financial markets technology is seeking a Windows Platform Engineer with advanced Windows Server, AWS and infrastructure automation experience to join their fast-paced team on a permanent basis.

They have recently completed a migration of their physical on-prem infrastructure onto AWS. In this newly-created role you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, availability and performance of their Windows-based cloud infrastructure. Working across their AWS environment, you'll leverage Terraform, CI/CD and PowerShell to automate infrastructure delivery, improve observability and support secure, resilient production systems.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Tertiary qualifications combined with relevant industry certifications
• Advanced Windows Systems Engineering within complex organisation including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, PKI/certificates and patching
• Strong AWS cloud infrastructure experience, including Windows workloads hosted on EC2
• Proven Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform
• CI/CD pipeline experience, ideally using GitLab
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capability
• Experience administering SCCM/MECM across patching, application deployment and compliance
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Dynatrace, AppDynamics or similar
• Advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills
