Job summary

GE Vernova in Australia is seeking an experienced Electrician to join the team at Bango Wind Farm on Ngunnawal Country, NSW, south of Boorowa. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled turbine maintenance, fault finding, and high voltage switching, ensuring safety and compliance with GE standards.

Ideal candidates are NSW-licensed electricians with strong communication skills, a head for heights, and a commitment to safe, high-quality power generation.

Qualifications

• Must hold NSW Electrical Licence and be a qualified Electrician.
• Experience fault finding on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Willing to travel to other sites as required.
• Comfortable with heights and able to climb turbines.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines and site infrastructure.
• Follow GE manuals, specifications, and work instructions to perform assigned tasks and inspections.
• Conduct maintenance, fault finding, and high voltage switching operations as required.
• Participate in annual maintenance, retrofit works, major component exchanges, and fault finding.
• Use GE software tools to maintain reports and submit technical queries.
• Ensure compliance with JSA, LOTO, EHS policies, and report issues promptly.
• Make a conformance or non-conformance decision upon completion of inspections.
• Report errors, violations, incidents, or problems immediately using GE reporting systems.
• Embrace a 37.5-hour work week, with opportunities for overtime as approved and participate in on-call rosters for after-hours or weekend work as directed.
