Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Field Service Technician to support the Boco Rock Wind Farm, located near Nimmitabel NSW. You will maintain and troubleshoot GE turbines, climb towers, and support site infrastructure with a strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a qualified electrician trade and are comfortable working at heights. A 37.5-hour week with occasional overtime and travel to other sites may apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician or Mechanical trade certification.
• Proficient in fault finding (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic).
• Proficient in using computer systems for monitoring and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Hold a current unrestricted driver's license.
• Able to work at heights and comfortable with heights.
• Commitment to safety standards and continuous improvement.
• Willing to travel to other sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled turbine and site maintenance.
• Follow GE manuals and work instructions to perform tasks and inspections.
• Conduct maintenance, fault finding, and high voltage switching operations.
• Participate in annual maintenance, retrofit works and major component exchanges.
• Use GE software tools to maintain reports and submit technical queries.
• Ensure compliance with JSA, LOTO, EHS policies and report issues promptly.
• Make a conformance or non-conformance decision upon inspections.
• Report errors, violations, incidents or problems using GE systems.
• Embrace a 37.5-hour week with overtime and on-call rosters as directed.
