Job summary

u&u Recruitment Partners seeks a Workplace Health & Safety Manager to evolve the WHS function for the remainder of 2026, with two days per week in the Sydney office. You will foster a proactive safety culture and lead key WHS initiatives across the organisation.

You will provide expert guidance on governance, risk, and compliance, lead risk assessments, audits and emergency management, and partner with leaders to mitigate workplace risks while driving wellbeing and data‑driven improvements.

The organisation is seeking a Workplace Health & Safety Manager to evolve the current WHS function for the remainder of 2026. The position will work two days per week in the Sydney office.

Your role will look like this

• Foster and promote a positive safety culture by embedding proactive WHS practices across the organisation;
• Provide expert advice to leaders on workplace safety, risk management, governance and compliance requirements;
• Lead WHS programs including risk assessments, audits, emergency management and continuous improvement initiatives;

About You

• Demonstrated experience in a Workplace Health & Safety role within a corporate, professional services or similarly complex environment;
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, compliance obligations and contemporary risk management principles;
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership teams;
• Experience partnering with business leaders to deliver practical, commercially focused safety and well-being outcomes;
• Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate insights into meaningful action;and
• Collaborative and solutions-oriented approach, with experience managing third-party providers and a genuine commitment to creating safe, inclusive and high-performing workplaces.
