Job summary

Torrens University Australia is seeking a Work Health and Safety Manager to lead the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of WHS across Torrens Global Education and its entities. You’ll partner with leaders to identify risks, provide practical advice and ensure compliance with legislation and workplace obligations.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering hybrid flexibility with work-from-home and campus options.

Qualifications

• WHS qualification and/or extensive experience in the field.
• South Australia Return to Work Coordinator certificate.
• Experience applying WHS legislation and codes in a complex org.
• End-to-end management of injuries and workers' comp.
• Proven ability to lead WHS initiatives and projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide WHS advice and ensure compliance with legislation.
• Identify and manage physical and psychological risks across the organisation.
• Oversee injuries and workers' compensation processes end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain WHS frameworks, policies and training.
• Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with HR and campus teams to drive safety improvements.
