Job summary

Torrens University Australia is seeking a Work Health and Safety Manager to lead planning, implementation and continuous improvement of WHS across Torrens Global Education and its entities. You’ll partner with business units and leaders to identify physical and psychological risks, ensure compliance with legislation, and manage injuries, workers’ compensation claims, reporting and investigations.

• Qualified WHS professional with at least six years in this specialist area.
• Experience applying WHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice in a complex organisation.
• Ability to lead WHS initiatives and practical improvements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to advise on safe workplace obligations and legislation.
• Manage injuries and workers' compensation claims end-to-end.
• Develop and maintain WHS frameworks, policies and records across the organisation.
• Deliver health and safety training to key stakeholders.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
